Connect
the DSL modem as shown in the Diagram Below: (NOTE that a splitter is
optional, and that the DSL modem must be the ONLY phone device without a
filter)

Turn
on the DSL modem by pushing the small black button on the back on the
modem. Then turn on your PC.
Open
your Web Browser (Windows products have Internet Explorer installed by
default, and you can open this by double clicking on the big blue “e” on
your desktop), and type “clearview” in the address bar, and hit enter or
click “go”.
You
will now see a diagram that shows you how to determine your ClearView®
username and password. You will
need this for future configurations of your modem. This username and password are case
sensitive. Please place this
information in a safe place, and then click continue.

On the
next page, select your time zone. The default is Pacific Time Zone. Click continue.

On the next page, select your connection type. Select “PPPoE”, unless you have
specific instructions from the Cascade Access Technical Support Department
that your modem will connect differently. Click continue.

On the
next page, you will enter your PPPoE username and password. These are your primary email address
and password that was setup when you signed up for service. These are located on your DSL/Broadband
Contract, and if you are unsure of this information, please call Technical
Support. Leave the VPI and VCI
fields set to the default of 0 and 35. Leave the encapsulation set to “LLC”. Click continue.

On the
next page, confirm that you have entered your username and password
properly, and click Finish. If you
need to modify the username or password, click Previous.

When you click Finish, your modem will save its
settings, and restart, to connect to the Cascade Access network. It will ask you to log in using your
ClearView username and password from step 4. This username and PW is case sensitive. When you see the
ADSL and Internet lights on the screen turn Green, your modem is connected
and ready to use. Feel free to
close “ClearView” at this point.

This modem is online and ready to use...
