Cascade Access Webmail System upgrade...

Dear Cascade Access User –

Cascade Access has been undergoing some major changes recently, most of which have been behind the scene, in order to provide a more reliable, and more streamlined internet service. We are continuing to upgrade our servers and services, and one spot we are changing is our WebMail system (currently located at www.cascadeaccess.com/webmail). Our WebMail system is based on a software package called Squirrel Mail, and we are finishing the final steps in deploying an upgrade pack called “nutsmail” (which can be seen at www.cascadeaccess.com/nutsmail) .

We will be finalizing this upgrade next week, at which time, the current WebMail system will transition to the new WebMail system. No email will be moved during this process, and the change you will see will be aesthetic only (meaning, you will not have to change anything on your side, you will simply need to sit back and enjoy the new user interface).

Some of the new features that will be available to you will be:

A “todo” list

A “notes” section

A “bookmarks” section (for storing internet addresses to be accessed from multiple machines)

A “calendar” section

The ability to retrieve multiple email accounts into one WebMail system (i.e. check your Cascade Access email and a separate email account in the same Cascade Access WebMail system)

The ability to search your mail (if you know you received an email from “Jane” but don’t know when, you can search for all messages from “Jane”)

And last but not least, more advanced Spam Filtering options…
